[It sure is hard to adjust to a life without sleep, particularly when you're trying to switch between budding idol-dom and school. Anya's been granted a day off today, as if that'll combat her sleepiness, and it's what has her stopping in front of an art shop. She hasn't been able to stop by this district lately, given her strict schedule.
But there's a painting of a night landscape that gets her to stop. Maybe she's there for a little too long, lingering as she lets her eyes flick from edge to edge of the painting, reaching out a hand to the display glass as if she wants to touch it -
And then eventually entering the shop itself. She looks around to find a shop assistant and speaks... hesitantly. Her hands go up to her hood, dropping it down to reveal the silver hair she tries to hide in public. She may be slightly recognizable from billboards, magazines, videos... but her presence is still rather small today.]
[Yusuke on a life without much sleep is fairly similar to Yusuke everyday - just with slightly more prominent bags under his eyes. But still, a man has to work to eat - and to line his pocket with more cash so he can buy the materials to line his pockets with more cash doing things he actually enjoys.
Today has been dragging - combination of just a slow day in general, and the tiredness pulling at the corners of his mind. So when Anya enters, he does straighten up in interest - but not, notably, in recognition. He's more pleased to see a customer than anything.]
[The lack of interest manages to get her to relax if anything. There's a softening of her expression, the lack of wariness, and she smiles a little self-consciously.]
Ah... портрет? [She offers a translation shortly after:] There is a painting in the window...
Of the night sky? Do you know which one I mean? Звезды! With the stars...! [And her excitement leaks through - though a moment later, a little sheepishly, she reaches up to play with her hair.] Is that the right way to ask?
[Her accent is distinctly Russian and that's the source of her uncertainty more than anything else... ah, talking with strangers can be a little difficult.]
She perks up at that, eyes lighting up once it's clear that the gist of what she's asking is getting across. There's an excited clap of her hands and a nod.]
Да! Yes. Is it for sale? I would like it very much...
[Well, that's a clear response, even before she confirms it verbally.
... it's... his painting, so he can't see why he wouldn't be able to sell it. It was in the front of the shop to fill in space until new products had arrived, and he didn't have any plans for the finished product now it was done. He'd painted it on a whim to try out a selection of newer, darker paints he'd purchased, and once it wasn't needed in the shop front again he.. didn't really know where it was going to go, other than into his portfolio or storage.]
I... [Hm.
... Well. It's his to sell, at the end of the day.]
I suppose it could be negotiated for sale, sure.
[... Does he... pay some money to the boss for making a sale off of something on display in their shop, even when he painted it? How much should he even be charging how long did he spend on this piece? Hm.]
[She can't help but laugh briefly - amused and charmed. It's sweet how he seems a little uncertain, and even though she's not sure for the reason behind his confusion, she'll take the chance to explain herself.]
I think it is a very lovely painting... Ah - I do not know how much to offer?
In my mind, it has merely been a window piece. So, yes, I am a little surprised. Pleasantly so, though.
[And here they reach an impasse because Yusuke's not sure how much to ask for. The canvases hadn't been as expensive as they'd usually be, but there was still paint and time cost to consider. How long had he spent on it?

If he'd spent about $50 on his materials, and worked about 12 hours on the work itself, as it's not a huge canvas... and if he gives himself $20 a hour for his work and the time devoted to it...?]
