[Food and a full belly is a pleasant feeling. Yusuke was far too prone to forgetting that feeling in favour of... well. Everything else. But it was nice to remember, and indulge every now and again. Especially when someone else was insistent on treating him.
Also the joy of.. sharing worries with a friend. Or more specifically, with Haru. There's something very cathartic about talking with someone going through the same experiences as him - no worrying about saying something stupid, getting to share experiences and discussions that had been had with other people.

It's a little silvery. I imagine light reflecting off it at midday or midnight would be hauntingly beautiful.
I think this is their 'beta' phase or something...
Isn't it weird, how you didn't notice it before? How blue wasn't a color until you got here? Man, when I realized all of these changes...it was really overwhelming.
You are a very responsible pet owner. Then again, when you have a pet that has free rein of the same sort of area you do there is more to consider than if your pet lives in a cage or a tank.
I do. And that would not bear thinking about. They can survive fine on land, but they are much smaller than the average house cat. They would get lost.
[Meanwhile, Haru loves stronger and varied flavors, even if it means focusing on that over the other senses. She lets out a "mmm" in response, as she took a bit of said ice cream while he gave his answer, and takes a moment to enjoy the taste before giving her own.]
I wasn't here that late, but I did see how the moon looked over the ocean. It's particularly silvery then... and you're right, it's a haunting sort of beautiful.
[And you know, if he wants to stay out here until midnight to see how that looks, Haru doesn't mind... though she's sure to be tired by then. Early riser and all.]
[He chases an errant drop of ice cream with his tongue, staring thoughtfully out at the grey expanse of the ocean. It is beautiful - always beautiful. But strange. Similar, but like walking into a room you know inside out and finding someone has moved the furniture one inch to the left. Familiar, yet off.]
Only ... grey at night, instead of a deep navy. Still, I would like to paint it someday. If only for memories once we return the sky to its usual shade.
[No, he's not going to make her stay up until midnight while he paints the ocean. He'll come back another time.]
