Why would they be nervous about you living together? I would have thought that was a testimony to how well you get along. And you are hardly irresponsible...
[ He dips his brush in the water jar, swilling it around until the dark paint has lifted from the bristles. ]
They make an investment for the future and you have “landlords” you can trust and know you will have a secure and comfortable living space. It’s quite wise in a way.
Well, I am. [She pauses, eyes brighter than normal.]
Thank you, Yusuke, for actually being supportive. I've heard so many pessimistic comments about the risks of dating your best friend...but I thought hard about this!

[She sounds focused on the conversation instead of the book at least. Hopefully a moving mouth won't be too much of a problem for him at first.]
You were out. where did you end up, anyway?
no subject
[ He might sound a little distracted, as he mixes the skin tone but... ]
You stayed in the city, if I remembering correctly. I remember hearing someone was kidnapped...?
no subject
[Yukiko tries not to nod too much.]
I did. Yes. The mayor was kidnapped. I...helped rescue him. he gave me this ridiculous medal.
no subject
[ what. whAT. ]
Oh. But, congratulations on your victory and the medal you received. Why is it ridiculous?
no subject
[Also the river Styx.]
And it's ridiculous because it was unnecessary. None of us wanted a medal.
no subject
[ Who... let this guy be mayor? ]
Perhaps it was all he could think of to openly express gratitude. Is it better than your achievement being ignored?
no subject
[Also, good question. Mayor Mayer is an idiot.]
And I guess? I dunno, I'd rather have just let it go, personally. But that's me.
no subject
[ In theory. ]
Yes. He may have felt an obligation to acknowledge it, I suppose.
no subject
[And that's something.]
How is Magatus? I haven't been, yet.
no subject
...
It's cold. Very cold. Hopefully less full of wolves now though.
no subject
[Honestly, they had expected it.]
Did you have to fight wolves, though?
[Yeah she just sort of rambled into that.]
no subject
[ ... Oh! Oh. ]
That is good to hear. And congratulations, when did this occur?
no subject
Um. Her birthday, in late January. We haven't told a lot of people though.

[ He's switching up paints now, from flesh to the brighter tones of her kimono. ]

[Her parents? weirdly supportive. Plus they trust their daughter, and Eleanor.]

[ Even with the topic of unsupervised, easy to get s-e-x in the equation. Yusuke, pls. ]
Were they concerned about you having roommates in general as well?
no subject
Yes...a little. That's why they bought the condo we're living in. So I could have my pick, and they'll have property when I graduate.

[It's also something only the wealthy could do, but it is a good idea.]
I don't have to worry about troublesome landlords, bad dormmates, any of that. And Eleanor gets a free place to stay, which helps her save money.
no subject
[ Wow. He’s slightly jealous. ]
But of course, it’s the property that is something of a high commodity nowadays, I feel. Owning a home is expensive.
[ What’s with this grandpa talk, holy heck. ]
The main thing though, of course, is that you are happy with your situation and relationship though.
