Well, I think you should give it a try. There’s probably a club on campus that does small fashion shows and you can start there.

I’m not interested in making clothes though, as much as the sketching and design process. Don’t most designers design and make their creations?

Who said anything about making them? Though... If you do try to make them, it'll help you understand how feasible an actual design is. While a design can be beautiful, it doesn't mean anything if you can't implement it onto fabric.

Yes. It helps, and realistically I do not have the desire to learn how to create clothing on top of everything else.

If asked I would try a proper design though.
