[Huh, interesting... even though Sanji was homeschooled, he doesn't recall France having the same attitude about the arts as America. His head tilts in vague amusement, giving Yusuke's hand a subtle squeeze]
Over in Europe, we got shit like castles, fairy tales, museums dedicated to the classics... Can't really afford to cut the arts when it's in plain sight everywhere.
[They're coming up on the exhibit by now, denser than other areas from the sheer amount of tourists and children running afoot. Each picture boasts its own line as the patrons wait for pictures, and the skill levels range from cute and small to impressive to a little bitinsane.]
We had more of this back in Japan. Mythology, temples and aesthetic... from what I remember. It's been a while since I went back. But I remember it being beautiful.
[ He is immediately moving quicker as soon as the figures come into sight - especially that 3D gorilla. How long?? How long did it take to make that?? The detail, the way it seamlessly blends into the actual 3D part of the piece.
Sorry-not-sorry he's tugging your arm here, Sanji. ]
... Do I need to give you a moment alone with the gorilla?
[WAY TO RUIN DAT MOOD but Yusuke's excitement just feeds his ego at this point. Goddamn he did excellent for a first date, even he's allowed to be proud of himself]
[ Alright, Sanji. Give yourself a pat on the back, you did good. ]
A moment would not be enough to truly appreciate how remarkable this piece is. But I do not have to appreciate it alone.
[ Hmm, hmm ā.ć.:*ć»Ā° ]
Even the smallest ones are so cleverly produced... it's amazing what people can do, given the time and the creative freedom to just work on whatever they desire.
[Yusuke it was a joke and you turned it gay(er). It's like a super power.]
Shit, if I'd known how much you'd take to it, should've brought us earlier. They had an open area for local artists to try their skills on the sidewalk.
[Which, sadly, has long since ended. That's the big issue with chalk drawings done on public property -- eventually they run out of space]
[Honestly? Bless Yusuke's honesty; it means Sanji's got at least three new date ideas planned for the future from that comment alone, and he feels a smile tug at his lips]
In that case, can't wait to see what you come up with.

They do, yes.
[ He can't argue... his love for the arts is fairly blinding. Medicine, maths and sciences are all important but... ]
You need things like science and inventing, yes. But the arts are food for the soul, and without creativity, life would be bland and dry.

Really? ... Is this an annual event, or just a one off?
[ Because he's coming back next year, after plenty of time to practice his skill with chalk. ]

[Arching his brows in Yusuke's direction, however] You thinking of joining?

[ He nods. ]
I'd like to try.

I'm open to requests or suggestions. Something to spark the creative process is never unwelcome.

[Sanji isn't gonna tell Yusuke how to live his life, just question his choices along the way -- and why would you ever give Sanji that kind of power]
no subject
[ By giving him the illusion of power. That seems safer. ]
